Child rape is endemic in Kenya. And unreported child rape is the part of the tragic iceberg that generally goes unseen. Mama Biashara helps the mothers and their children escape a hell in which they – for different reasons – have been trapped. We give them a new life and a sustainable business for the women with which to take care of their families in safety and happiness. We do the same for girls (and occasionally boys) who have been held and used as sex slaves. We aim to help those escaping forced early marriage and are planning on joining forces with other groups to help girls escape the horror of FGM.
